Virtual Conference

All online courses are 1 CPE Credit. Some workshops are over 1 hour, and some are under 1 hour. All courses average out to 1 CPE hour per course. You will get a separate certificate for each course after viewing it and answering the survey question after each course. Attendees will have access on July21st. Login instructions will be emailed on July 20th to the email used at registration. Make sure to check your spam folder. Login Instructions will also be on the THOA website, however attendees must login to the online courses via the THOA registration system.

Cannabis curious? Everything you wanted to know about medical cannabis (but were afraid to ask) 

Presenter: Meredith Patterson 

Join neuroscience/medical cannabis nurse Meredith Patterson for a presentation on the science underlying uses of cannabis (aka the marijuana plant) for medical purposes. Session will address current laws in Texas governing medical cannabis, including hemp-derived CBD. Participants will learn how to dose CBD properly, what type to take for optimal effectiveness and how to shop for quality, toxin-free products. Class includes case studies, current research and addresses safety and efficacy considerate ions. 

Engaging Scholars in Work-Based Experiences & Industry Based Certifications

As educators, our mission is to engage scholars in hands-on experiences that will expose them to real-world scenarios. Through student-centered learning, scholars will participate in research, competitive events, shadowing experiences and much more. 

Forensic Radiology 

Presenter: Jonathan Perry 

This webinar introduces the field of Forensic Radiology. A relatively new field allowing for novel insights into things like autopsies by utilizing Medical Imaging techniques such as MRI and CT. Followed by a discussion of the physics behind each modality, and a virtual cadaver dissection of each image type.
